Graduated from Les Roches Switzerland in the year 1985, return back to Malaysia and started my first Restaurant Food & Beverage at Keratapi Tanah Melayu in Kuala Lumpur. Moved to Siem Reap, Cambodia and was appointed former CEO of Air Hanuman and General Manager of Royal Pangkor Resort. Based in Cambodia with a team overseeing Hospitality Projects for Asean countries. Cambodia officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum’s historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country’s northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire. The tourism industry is the country’s second-greatest source of hard currency after the textile industry, visitor arrivals were 2.0 million, an increase of 18.5% over the same period in 2006. Michael started his career in the hospitality industry in Switzerland and Germany after studies from Ecole Les Roches and graduation from HOSTA/Glion hotel schools in Switzerland. Later he was recruited into the financial industry where he went on to graduate from Lausanne Business School with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1999, after graduation he continued working in the financial advisory/investment sectors and start-ups (fintech) the last 20 years. He has been living in Switzerland for the past 36 years, relocated back to Asia (China, Hong Kong, Singapore) in 2013. Since 2015 he is base in Indonesia working on Project Management/Finance focusing on socially responsible and sustainable development projects, environmentally friendly green tech and waste management projects.
